PANGKOR LAUT RESORT Pangkor Laut is a privately owned island located three miles off the West Coast of Malaysia along the Straits of Malacca. This piece of paradise has been 2 million years in the making, and here you will find one of the world’s premier resorts nestling in the shade of forest giants as old as the land. You will find no other resorts – just secluded bays curled around pristine beaches, evening skies woven with colour, and a deep sense of serenity reserved exclusively for our guests. Of the island's 300 acres, only a fraction has been developed to house the Resort and its eight Estates. Tranquility and privacy redefined

Signature Sea Villas stand elegantly on stilts above playful waves, while the Garden and Hill Villas place you within a few steps of nature's abundance.

Spa Villa Accommodation
Spa Villas are private bungalows on stilts over the sea offering direct access to the Spa Village. Each unit features an oversized bath with ceiling mounted shower, large balcony for private sun bathing and a stunning view of the Straits of Malacca

Sea Villa Accommodation
Standing elegantly on stilts over the sea and linked by wooden walkways, these villas are the signature feature of the island. Each private villa is airy and spacious, has a large balcony with deck chairs and a bathroom with an oversized tub that opens onto the sea.

Beach Villa Accommodation
Featuring a private balcony with deck chairs, a large bathroom with a separate shower and a large bathtub open to the elements, these villas have a breathtaking view of the sea. While providing a stunning scene, the seabed of Royal Bay has a natural rocky formation and guests are advised to swim at Emerald Bay.

Hill Villa Accommodation
Perched dramatically on the hillside amidst the rainforest, these villas have a magnificent view of the sea and beautiful tropical gardens. The villas on the ground floor feature a large indoor bathtub while the first floor bathtubs open out to the rainforest

Garden Villa Accommodation
Located amongst lush gardens, these villas featuring spacious bathtubs with a separate shower area and are strategically located close to the main facilities. Those travelling with children may prefer connecting villas whereby two ground floor villas are adjoined from the inside, allowing convenient access to each villa. These connecting villas are limited and subject to availability.

Suria and Purnama Suites
Both suites stand on stilts over the sea and feature an entrance hall, separate bedroom and elegant lounge, balconies for sunbathing, and a spacious bathroom with windows that offer beautiful views of the sea from the oversized bathtub.

Pavarotti Suite
Named after the world-renowned tenor who fell in love with Pangkor Laut, this is an elegant two-bedroom suite set high on the hill in the rainforest. It has a spacious and luxurious lounge area, an extensive balcony with breathtaking views of the sea and tropical rainforest, and an enormous open-roofed bathroom.

RESTAURANTS & BARS
At Pangkor Laut only the best quality ingredients reach our shores and we have created a selection criteria of uncompromising standards for our suppliers. Absolute freshness is our mantra and we do all that we can to ensure that the path from nature to our tables is as short and as carefully managed as possible. Our chefs are internationally trained and well versed in the creation of both Western and Asian cuisine.

Fisherman's Cove
Situated adjacent to the Spa Village, Fisherman's Cove features a unique symphony of seafood themed dishes crafted by Chef Wai, the pioneer of this locally and internationally acclaimed restaurant, which focuses on sustainable fishing practices and the freshest ingredients.
The seaside restaurant welcomes children aged 16 years and above for the comfort of all our guests. Proper dress code is required with shirt, full-length trousers and shoes for gentlemen and smart casual wear for ladies.

Uncle Lim's Kitchen
This interestingly designed restaurant is built atop a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. Named after the chef who has been with the Resort since its inception, Uncle Lim's specialises in Nyonya and Hockchew Chinese-style home cooking. All dishes are inspired by the unique products available locally, and made to each guest's individual tastes and requirements. A unique experience for those who enjoy the exotic flavours of the East.

Royal Bay Beach Club
Relax and unwind on the terrace of the Royal Bay Beach Club, overlooking the infinity pool while enjoying Asian and Western favourites for lunch. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a chic chill-out lounge serving cocktails and other beverages.

Chapman's Bar
This bar is named after a famous British Colonel who sought refuge at Emerald Bay before his dramatic escape by submarine in 1945. Chapman's Bar sits on Emerald Bay, and serves salads, local specials, noodles and tasty seafood dishes. A variety of beverages are served throughout the day, a short walk from your beach chair.

Jamu Bar
The Jamu Bar, located in an enclave of Spa Village overlooking the lapping Straits of Malacca, serves Japanese cuisine for lunch and also does intimate private dinners.

Feast Village
Savour a vibrant, interactive dining experience with diverse culinary offerings from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The Feast Village also features a patisserie, cafe, Chef's table and wine cellar where guests can purchase wines of their choice and is open for breakfast and dinner.

The Straits

Serving some of the finest cuisine drawn from South East Asian influences, The Straits is set against the rocks, by the beach, providing exotic dining in an elegant and beautiful environment, with sumptuous silks juxtaposing natural timber and granite. Private dining booths line both sides of the restaurant with one side offering exclusive views of the sea.

SPA VILLAGE PANGKOR LAUT
The Spa Village at Pangkor Laut Resort is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region. Malaysia, with its diverse history of people and cultures, and a vast abundance of natural resources, provides the backdrop for health rituals that are amongst the oldest in the world. The abundance of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai practices makes this the ideal setting for complete rejuvenation.
The Spa Village comprises a number of specially built structures designed to facilitate an extensive range of treatments from China, Japan, India, Thailand, Bali and Malaysia. ESTATES

Enjoy the Luxury of Your Own Private Resort

Luxurious and incredibly private, the Estates, accessible from Kuala Lumpur by helicopter or via car and luxury yacht, is located on the northern vicinity on the private island of Pangkor Laut. Eight individual enclaves were crafted as private paradises, with inspiration drawn from a slew of traditions and influences - from vernacular architecture of the Malay Archipelago, to British colonial verandahs, to sustainable architecture, resulting in an own distinct identity and capturing the spirit of a traditional Southeast Asian estate. The name itself conjures up an atmosphere reminiscent of the romantic lifestyle of a British estate manager of old Malaya.

The overarching principle during the development of the estates was to tread lightly on the land, underlining all efforts to minimise impact on the land and protecting the environment. Living spaces were subtly weaved into the jungle terrain, painstakingly negotiated and built around boulders, natural ponds and trees, ensuring the acres of rainforest remained pristine.

Each estate comprises of a cluster of pavilions that are interconnected by a combination of flagged stone pathways, wooden bridges and decks, ponds, gardens and rock steps into an integrated whole. The lush rainforest canopy eclipses the discrete individual living, dining, resting, bath and bedroom pavilions with a living emerald veil. A focal point of every estate, which houses two to four villas, is its private pool with dramatic views of the island's breathtaking landscape, be it from a sandy beachfront setting or high up on the hillside amidst the jungle.

On each estate, personal butlers are at hand to ensure every attention to detail is looked after, from personalised dining experiences to arranging a massage from the award-winning Spa Village in the privacy of your own villa; while a private chef prepares dishes to cater to individual tastes and requirements.
